Some places have a way of stopping us in our tracks. Standing before a waterfall, there is a sense of both power and peace, an endless movement that never seems hurried, yet never ceases.

Cascade at Glencar was inspired by one of those moments, where the sound of falling water and the surrounding woodland create a feeling of complete immersion in nature.

Rather than painting every detail, I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the place—the cool blues and greens, the textured rock, and the ever-changing movement of the water as it tumbles into the pool below. Layers of paint mirror the energy of the landscape, inviting the viewer to experience not just what was seen, but what was felt.

For me, this painting became a quiet reflection on resilience. Like water finding its path over rock, life continues to move forward through obstacles, constantly reshaping itself while remaining true to its nature. It is a reminder that there is beauty in persistence, renewal in movement, and peace in allowing ourselves to simply flow with the journey.
